Physician - Anesthesiology

Physician - Anesthesiology Profession: Physician Specialty: Anesthesiology Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of Anesthesiology experience License: New York license in hand Certifications: AHA or RQI certification Must-Have: Board Certified or Board Eligible, proficient in Regional Anesthesia, must be able to independently perform blocks, comfortable supervising up to a 4:1 patient ratio, OB experience required Full-time coverage is available for a 5-day work week, Monday to Friday. The schedule consists of shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Night call availability is required from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekend call consists of 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with a minimum 2-hour guarantee. During the weekday and weekend, the 2-hour minimum only applies if the provider is called in and works less than 2 hours or is called in and immediately sent home due to case cancellation. Otherwise, only case start and end times are compensated. Providers must be willing to cover a minimum of 2 calls per week. Providers may take on additional call coverage as needed. Providers must be able to reach the facility within 30 minutes while on call. Always check in and out with the Unit Coordinator when entering or leaving the facility. The provider will be expected to clock actual hours worked. When working call the previous day, providers may be released early as operating rooms close throughout the day. The hours worked during call will still be counted toward the shift guarantee. Providers must have had no unexplained work history gaps of 30 days or more. A physician statement is required for any malpractice history, whether dismissed or not. Candidates must be instructed to notify of any malpractice claims brought against them. Providers must have EPIC experience. The interview process consists of a phone interview with the Anesthesia Chief. Travel reimbursement is available for eligible expenses, including lodging and transportation, with required itemized receipts. Original receipts are required for all travel and lodging expenses. Only single occupancy lodging expenses will be reimbursed at reasonable or approved rates. Airfare must be booked at least one month in advance, and only coach or economy tickets will be covered. Agencies are expected to provide the most economical transportation options available. Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use will be provided at the standard mileage rate. Miscellaneous transportation fare is reimbursable with original receipts. Tolls will also be reimbursed with original receipts.
