About the Role The Portfolio Analyst supports the Portfolio Management team by owning execution, coordination, and operational workflows across client portfolios. Reporting to Portfolio Management leadership, this role bridges Portfolio Management, Client Services, Operations, and external counterparties—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in day-to-day portfolio administration. The Portfolio Analyst is essential to keeping client portfolios running smoothly so Portfolio Managers can stay focused on investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Trade Preparation & Execution Prepare investment orders and related documentation under the direction of Portfolio Managers, monitoring relevant channels for incoming instructions. Coordinate with Operations and external counterparties to execute trades and corporate actions. Track trade lifecycle from preparation through settlement; elevate issues as needed. Monitor the OMS and Matured Assets Report on a daily basis. Cash & Liquidity Management Coordinate with Client Services to ensure sufficient liquidity for investments, fees, and client-directed transactions. Monitor pending wires daily and follow up with custodians on unprocessed or delayed transfers. Track cash balances across accounts and flag potential short falls. Support funding and settlement processes end-to-end. Client Account Operations Initiate wires and manage associated documentation, submission, and follow-up. Request and organize custodial statements and transaction confirmations. Monitor open discrepancies related to fees, commissions, custody charges, and transactions; validate charges against client agreements before engaging custodians. Coordinate the billing workflow, including payment instruction management and cash availability confirmation. Prepare and coordinate annual reports and client-requested reporting packages; support ad hoc reporting for internal teams and clients. Maintain organized records to support audits, reviews, and client inquiries. Client Onboarding & Project Coordination Lead onboarding tasks for new clients, including account setup and documentation tracking in coordination with Client Services and Operations. Act as project manager for operational initiatives within the Portfolio Management team, serving as the primary point of contact across internal channels. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to support a scalable, high-performing operations function. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in investment operations, portfolio administration, or a related role within a wealth management, family office, or RIA environment. Proficiency with order management systems (OMS), custodial platforms, and standard Microsoft Office tools. Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workflows accurately and on deadline.
