Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night Rotation, 36 hours per week; weekdays and some weekends required (3-4 weekend days per month); rotating shifts assigned based on organizational needs with flexibility between day and night coverage

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with mixed acuity including 6 transitional PCU beds (PCU experience not required)
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts; 27-bed unit with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Float required within the organization to support various units as needed
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
• 36-hour orientation provided; one pre-approved time off period available
• Diverse case mix including general medical conditions, organ failure, behavioral health, and substance withdrawal management

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (one must be from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing

Clinical Skills:

• Proficiency with chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV initiation and maintenance
• Experience with PICC line management, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and nasal cannula
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE protocols and use of rapid response/code teams
• Familiarity with bedside procedures including Foleys, IV antibiotics, paracentesis, and more
