Payroll HRIS Specialist

Hourly pay rate ranges from $45-55/HR based on experience. salary: $45 - $55 per hour Contract role - anticipated 3-6 months Job Summary Responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of U.S. and Canadian payroll. Executes end to end payroll activities, supports audits and controls, and partners closely with HR, Finance, Treasury, and payroll vendors. shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Process biweekly, monthly, and offcycle U.S. and Canadian payrolls, including hires, terminations, adjustments, and manual checks. Validate payroll data, reconcile registers, resolve errors, and manage garnishments, tax recalculations, and direct deposit issues. Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local payroll regulations; respond to payroll tax and government notices. Prepare payroll funding, general ledger files, reclasses, and related SAP uploads. Support monthend, quarterend, and audit requests, including SOC documentation and Blackline reconciliations. Execute yearend processing (W2, T4, T2200) and benefits related trueups and grossups. Maintain payroll data integrity across Workday, ADP, SAP, and related systems; respond to help cases and shared inbox inquiries. Partner with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and Treasury to resolve employee and stakeholder payroll inquiries.
