Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for children and adolescents to identify their mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans that incorporate family dynamics and developmental considerations.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, which may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and parent-child interaction therapy, tailored to the specific needs of your clients.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at fostering effective communication and support systems within family units.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a coordinated care approach and provide holistic treatment to our young clients.

• Respond promptly to mental health crises, providing immediate support and intervention as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of children and adolescents.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and available community resources to empower them in managing their mental health.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient progress and treatment activities in compliance with established medical standards and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care and share best practices.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with the latest research and methodologies in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. This includes those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral concerns. By employing a child-centered approach, you will help young clients navigate their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a proven track record of working with children and adolescents.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to connect with young clients and establish genuine rapport.
\n
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience providing therapy to children and adolescents is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering family therapy and interventional crisis support is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Grady Counseling Services offers a highly competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
