Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments with a cultural lens to identify clients' needs and craft personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored specifically to the cultural and personal backgrounds of your clients.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and support groups that promote mental well-being and resilience; ensuring all treatment methods are sensitive to each client's history and context.

• Engage in collaborative care by coordinating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment for your clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, available resources, and the treatment process, ensuring the information is accessible and relevant.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards as well as HIPAA compliance.

• Participate energetically in case conferences and team discussions, bringing insights and a multicultural perspective to enhance care strategies.

• Stay abreast of current trends and evidence-based practices in mental health and cultural sensitivity to continually enrich the quality of care provided.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment protocols.
