Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Position Overview Physicians within the Division of Hematology provide direct and indirect patient care services in inpatient and/or ambulatory settings in the James Cancer Hospital. They conduct ambulatory clinics, perform physical examinations, hematology procedures, order diagnostic testing, and prescribe treatment plans while educating patients and families. Physicians may participate in quality assessment and improvement activities and serve as preceptors for residents, fellows, medical students, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. Duties And Responsibilities Provides direct and indirect patient care services in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. Orders procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services. Prescribes and implements treatment plans. Directs and participates in quality assessment and improvement activities. Provides bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, and other allied health professionals. Requirements MD or DO (or equivalent). Board eligible or certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. Must meet medical licensure requirements for the state of Ohio.
