Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, and effective physical therapy services to patients in an outpatient setting, ensuring high standards of care.
• Implement tailored treatment programs based on the initial assessment and established treatment plans created by the lead physical therapist.
• Conduct thorough evaluations that encompass pertinent medical histories, patient interviews, and functional assessments to determine the most effective interventions.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress accurately and timely. This includes detailed initial evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries that reflect patient care and outcomes.
• Coordinate discharge planning and develop follow-up care protocols to ensure continuity of care for patients once they leave the facility.
• Engage in ongoing compliance training to adhere to state, local, and federal regulations, maintaining the highest standards of practice.
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families, physicians, and third-party payors to foster a collaborative treatment environment.
• Participate in facility meetings as requested to contribute to team goals and discuss patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Mobility Works, you will work with patients who present a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and ergonomic-related issues. Your expertise will guide patients through the recovery process, implementing evidence-based practices to maximize their functional ability and return to daily activities safely.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is required.
• Must possess a current physical therapy license as issued by the State of Florida.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is essential.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
