We're looking for a Sr Coordinator, Recruiting & People (IC2) who's sharp, fast, and energized by the operational puzzle of keeping a Recruiting pipeline running well. This is a high‑agency role reporting to the Director of People & Talent. You'll own your work, proactively spot what needs doing, and shape the experience for candidates and new hires alike. If you do your best work when things are moving and you're the one keeping them on track, this role is for you. NYC hybrid role: This role is 3 days per week in office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, based in the New York City Metropolitan area reporting to the Director of People & Talent.

WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH, YOU'LL:

Partner with Nova Recruiters to learn about Nova Credit’s recruiting workflows, Greenhouse ATS, posted jobs, and hiring managers Own scheduling and rescheduling across multiple concurrent active searches with accuracy and minimal oversight Start reviewing inbound applicants for high‑volume roles Show up as the face of our NYC office for new hires, greeting people on day one, handing out keycards, giving office tours, and setting the tone for what it feels like to be a Novan

WITHIN THE FIRST QUARTER, YOU'LL:

Be trusted to keep Greenhouse clean and current with stage updates, dispositions, and data integrity Independently solve increasingly complex recruiting challenges, knowing when to accelerate and when to drive decisions autonomously Have made at least one meaningful process improvement that helped the team with efficiency or quality improvements Build a reputation with hiring managers and teammates for being clear, prompt, and dependable Help with onboarding and off‑boarding logistics Take on payroll and people ops admin support with reliability and discretion

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU'LL:

Learn Nova Credit’s business model, product suite, competitive landscape, and unique value proposition Be a true partner to the business beyond the People & Talent team by establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders and understanding our company culture, values, and what makes exceptional Novans Drive process improvements and contribute to recruiting team initiatives that enhance our hiring efficiency, candidate experience, new‑hire experience, data hygiene, or other People Team initiatives Advise on coordination best practices, and contribute to shaping Nova Credit’s recruiting culture and standards Embody Nova Credit’s values in how you show up every day, for your teammates, candidates, and for the people walking through the door on their first day

YOUR SKILLSET:

2‑3+ years of experience in a recruiting coordination, people operations, HR, or administrative support role ATS Proficient: Hands‑on experience with an ATS (Greenhouse ideally) and comfort learning new tools quickly Fast & accurate: You get energy from a full plate, enjoy working with time pressure, and take pride in turning things around quickly without sacrificing accuracy. You’re comfortable making quick judgment calls, course‑correcting as you go, and keeping multiple balls in the air. Systems Thinker: You are naturally curious about how things work, quick to spot inefficiencies, and proactive about building or suggesting improvements that make the whole team faster Sharp Eye: You catch what’s missed and hold yourself to a high bar on data integrity and follow‑through Trusted Discretion: Reliable handling sensitive information, including payroll and people ops data Direct Communicator: You are warm with candidates, crisp with hiring managers, and confident enough to push back when needed. You are able to set boundaries professionally and without apology when requests fall outside your scope Team Multiplier: You have a collaborative mindset: you thrive on supporting a team and take ownership of your contributions, taking pride in making other people’s jobs easier, not just your own Culture carrier: Aligned with Nova Credit’s core values and enthusiastic about contributing to an intentional, high‑performing culture $90,000 – $120,000 a year The above compensation range is for United States‑based candidates and is dependent on individual experience, skills, education, location, and qualifications. We consider all elements of compensation to be a part of the value we provide to Novans. This may include base salary, equity grants, incentive compensation for eligible roles, professional development, flexible PTO, and tenure rewards. In the U.S., our benefits package includes comprehensive and generously subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance options, along with a company‑sponsored 401k plan, parental leave of absence, sick time off, and paid time off vacation.
