Human Resources Specialist

Our HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting the People & Culture team at Tampa International Airport. This position is responsible for a wide range of HR functions for our Retail Operations, from recruitment and onboarding to compensation, benefits and employee relations, all while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. This is a Junior HR position ideal for someone eager to build on their current HR experience and gain valuable, hands‑on exposure with a great company in the airport environment . This is an hourly position: $22 - $24 p/h + Bon ns:Serve as an onsite HR representative, supporting operations, management and hourly team memb ersProvides essential administrative and operational support to the People & Culture department at Tampa International Airpo rt,Assist in the implementation of corporate and local People & Culture initiati vesManage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and onboarding logist icsEnsure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and internal polic iesCoordinate and support confidential investigations and employee relations matt ersIdentify and address HR-related issues, maintaining confidentiality and escalating when appropri atePartner with operations to ensure compliance with airport policies and expectati onsRespond to team member inquiries regarding compensation, scheduling, policies, and general conce rnsMaintain accurate employee records and HR systems; perform administrative tasks including data entry, reporting, and document retent ionFacilitate new hire orientation to ensure a positive and compliant onboarding experie nce Minimum Qualificat ions:2–4 years of administrative experience, ideally in HR1+ year of hospitality, food & beverage, or retail experience pref erredCombined education and experience must exceed 2 yearsCoursework toward HR certification or demonstrated knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices requ ired.Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal s killsHigh level of professionalism, confidentiality and discr etionDetail-oriented with excellent organizational abil itiesAble to interpret and simplify policies and legal documents for team understa ndingProficient in Microsoft O fficeComfortable using HRIS and business systems; quick to learn new technol ogies Location/ Travel:Requires on-site attendance at Tampa Int' Airport five days per week: this is NOT a remote p #J-18808-Ljbffr Avolta
