Our practice is equipped with advanced technology and methodologies, allowing us to provide superior physical therapy services to individuals with various orthopedic needs, primarily those with private medical insurance. With an emphasis on personalized care, our small team consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA) committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing home-based therapy across Fredericksburg and its surrounding areas. You will be working in a collaborative atmosphere that encourages open communication and teamwork. Our well-equipped facilities boast a vast 5000 square feet of space dedicated to sports medicine, where innovative rehabilitation strategies are implemented to support patient recovery. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, which allows for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' individual therapy goals and requirements, understanding their unique needs and lifestyles.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure focused and personalized care.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient settings to deliver tailored, cost-effective treatment plans aimed at enhancing your patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Explore and provide alternatives to medications and surgical procedures, promoting natural healing processes.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Design and implement customized fitness and wellness programs to target the specific needs of each patient.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment journey, helping them to optimize their functional capabilities.
• Encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyle choices by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor patients' progress effectively, and maintain clear and accurate communication with all stakeholders.
• Document all patient interactions and care services meticulously to comply with healthcare regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients undergoing rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. Your skill set will contribute significantly by enabling these individuals to regain independence, increase their mobility, and enhance their overall physical health through dedicated, personalized care.

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Have a valid Virginia state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain an unblemished professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrate a strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and have exceptional skills in developing and implementing exercise protocols.
• Be proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings, particularly in home care environments.
• Expertise in utilizing advanced rehabilitation technology and methodologies to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Ability to develop strong rapport and therapeutic relationships with patients to encourage commitment to their rehabilitation goals.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits.
