Work Environment

Working as a Physical Therapist at White River PT Services means you will be engaging directly with patients in their homes, allowing a comfortable and familiar setting for rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Directed physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function, adhering closely to prescribed plans of care.
• Evaluating clients' physical abilities through a combination of diagnostic and prognostic assessments, including muscle, joint, and functional tests.
• Overseeing the implementation of care plans by Physical Therapy Assistants and providing essential guidance during their delivery of services.
• Assessing the home environment and making actionable recommendations that enable clients to maintain independence during their rehabilitation process.
• Administering various therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents.
• Maintaining thorough clinical records, documenting evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries for every patient.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team conferences and collaborating with team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Instructing clients and families about the use of therapeutic devices and the overall care plan, ensuring adherence and understanding.
• Regularly evaluating and adjusting plans of care based on observed patient progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your role will revolve around a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions related to musculoskeletal issues. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A current PT licensure in good standing for the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for community travel to patient homes.
• Strong clinical reasoning capabilities, creativity in problem-solving, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience
