Work Environment

You will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Carteret, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, focusing on their specific needs and establishing individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a diverse range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities tailored to various patient conditions. These may include orthopedic injuries, pediatric concerns, neurologic disorders, and sports medicine rehabilitation.
• Provide high-quality, empathetic care while educating patients and their families about their treatment process and maintaining open lines of communication.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to share insights and optimize patient care strategies based on current research and clinical guidelines.
• Document patient progress accurately and consistently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational policies.
• Meet minimum productivity requirements while maintaining a focus on the quality of care provided to each patient.
• Actively engage in outreach and education initiatives within the community to promote health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clinical expertise will be applied to a wide spectrum of patients, including those recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, and sports-related issues. Your role will involve not only treating physical conditions but also addressing the emotional and psychological impacts of recovery, ensuring that patients receive holistic support throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT), ensuring compliance with the Physical Therapy Examining Committee's standards.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification is essential for maintaining patient safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective patient interactions and collaboration with team members.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• A genuine commitment to building rapport with patients, enabling you to help them achieve their functional goals.
• A positive attitude and a desire to engage with the local community.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting is preferred, as this role requires effective teamwork and collaboration. Candidates with specialized training in orthopedics, pediatrics, or sports medicine will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
