Mountain Park Pulmonology PC is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiovascular care at our outpatient Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC) in Binghamton, New York. This role is vital in managing patient care under the supervision of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and the guidance of the Medical Director within the Division of Cardiology. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will play an essential role in coordinating care and implementing treatment plans that directly impact patient health outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, allowing for direct patient interactions and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking history and performing physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage conditions related to cardiovascular health, including hypertension, high cholesterol, and heart failure.
• Provide outpatient Electrophysiology services to assess and manage conditions such as arrhythmias and abnormal ECGs.
• Conduct stress testing for patients requiring cardiac evaluation.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists to design and implement treatment plans, facilitating consultations as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health management, contributing to sustained patient engagement and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate patient records utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and educational opportunities to enhance team performance and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will provide care to a diverse patient population with varying degrees of cardiovascular disease. This includes managing patients with acute and chronic conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and other cardiovascular risk factors. By focusing on personalized care, you will contribute to improved health outcomes for patients in our community.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a Master's or Doctoral degree preferred.
• Successfully completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and passed the appropriate certification exam.
• Possess a current and valid Nurse Practitioner license.

Preferred Experience

We welcome applications from both experienced Nurse Practitioners and those new to the field who have relevant clinical experience in cardiology, whether in outpatient or inpatient settings. Familiarity with current cardiology practices and electronic health record systems will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
