Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and team administrators to develop and coordinate effective mental health treatment plans for patients both within and outside the clinic.

• Facilitate mental health in-service training sessions for medical, psychiatric, and security staff to raise awareness and improve care standards.

• Respond promptly to mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and intervention strategies to ensure patient safety.

• Participate in commitment hearings as needed, providing critical insights into patients' mental health status and treatment progress.

• Develop individualized treatment goals and plans, ensuring they are aligned with clinical best practices and the specific needs of each patient.

• Thoroughly document all interactions with patients, adhering to confidentiality standards and maintaining medical record integrity.

• Verify patients’ previous mental health histories, which includes assessing past treatments and medications, to inform current care strategies.

• Prepare regular progress reports and special documentation as required to maintain transparent communication within the healthcare team.

• Coordinate with nursing and mental health staff for post-release referral services, ensuring continuous support for patients transitioning from the clinic.
