Work Environment

This position is based in New York, New York, and operates within a home care framework. Working onsite, our Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will directly interact with families and children in a familiar environment, enabling ease of communication and comfort for young patients. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and manage common childhood illnesses and minor injuries, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate treatments.
• Lead and facilitate regular checkups, monitoring the growth and development of patients from infancy onward, with a scheduling frequency that aligns with developmental milestones.
• Provide preventative care measures, including routine vaccinations and health education to parents and guardians, helping to instill lifelong healthy practices.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient health and developmental histories using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, nurses, and specialists, to develop cohesive care strategies that enhance patient experiences and outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding treatment plans, health concerns, dietary needs, and fitness recommendations to empower guardians in the caregiving process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work primarily with infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, addressing a wide range of health issues from routine wellness checks to acute illnesses. Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited institution.

• Current registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) for prescription writing.
• Strong clinical experience in providing primary care and diagnostic services, especially in pediatric settings.
• Proficient in working collaboratively within a healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish is considered a valuable asset and may enhance communication with our diverse patient population.

Compensation and Benefits
