Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact supporting middle and high school students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist! This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about empowering learners with diverse speech and language needs. You’ll work with an engaging group of approximately 50 students across grades 6-12, providing vital services ranging from speech-only support to more moderate needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Active SLP - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes and case management for varied disabilities
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Flexibility working with a range of student needs and educational goals
• Licensure appropriate for school-based SLPs in California; open to discussing if CTC credential is required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy
• Manage a caseload of around 50 students, grades 6 through 12
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Implement interventions tailored to students’ needs, from speech-only to moderate disabilities
• Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and support staff regarding student progress
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner
• Collaborate with faculty to incorporate speech and language strategies in classroom settings
