Business Development Lead

Zoetis, Inc. The Business Development Lead will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and executing external transactions to meet Zoetis’ strategic and financial objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Head of Business Development and Commercial Business leadership team, partnering with multiple cross-regional functions including Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Research and Development, and Global Commercial Development (GCD). Responsibilities Identify, assess, and execute external transactions to meet strategic and financial objectives. Lead and execute a range of business development transactions including acquisitions (company, business, or assets), divestitures, research and licensing deals, and distribution agreements. Drive rigorous strategic analyses, partnering with BD Finance to ensure accurate valuations, due diligence, and risk assessment. Prepare and deliver presentations on transaction opportunities for senior executives and the Zoetis Executive Team. Build and maintain strong external networks with industry partners, potential collaborators, and advisors to identify pipeline opportunities. Serve as a key liaison across functions ensuring effective integration of business, legal, financial, tax, and operational considerations into BD decisions. Qualifications Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Management, Business Administration, or related field and at least 7 years of experience. or Bachelor’s degree in the same fields and at least 10 years of experience. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, primarily domestic. Telecommuting may be permitted; when not telecommuting, must report to the worksite. Benefits Salary: $185,000.00-$266,000.00.
