Responsibilities Ensure the integrity of the accounting system by preparing period-end adjustments, accruals, and account analyses. Prepare journal entries to accurately record transactions. Assist in the preparation of quarter forecasts and the annual budget. Maintain and manage the accounting system for accurate tracking. Reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate cash reporting. Support the implementation of the accounting system with third‑party property managers for newly acquired properties. Review investor reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, including detailed variance analyses provided by third‑party property managers. Perform lease analysis and calculate net rents for accurate financial reporting. Direct and provide support to third‑party property managers on financial and accounting matters. Prepare supporting documentation for the company’s income and property tax returns. Prepare governmental reports, including TC 201 reporting, in compliance with regulations. Maintain and assist with Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance requirements. Prepare supporting schedules and communicate with external auditors on a quarterly basis. Support property‑specific joint venture and construction audits. Stay informed on new accounting pronouncements and industry developments to ensure best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, including real estate and public accounting. Skilled at multitasking and handling high volumes of data. Detail‑oriented and highly computer literate. Strong team player. Experience with Yardi (ERP) preferred.
