Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education (SPED) teaching certification required for consideration
- Previous teaching experience in special education preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to students’ individual learning needs
- Implement IEPs and track student progress, adjusting instruction to promote growth
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure the success of each student
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by state and federal guidelines
- Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
