CGP: Accounts Payable Specialist

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $32.00 to $37.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process and review vendor invoices and contractual disbursements in compliance with general ledger coding requirements.
• Maintain and organize vendor master records within the accounting system to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Manage the corporate credit card program, including issuing cards and reconciling accounts payable transactions.
• Oversee monthly close processes, including accounts payable cut-off and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations by preparing 1099s and monitoring state and local tax reporting.

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with prior experience in a professional sports or entertainment organization.
• Demonstrate proficiency in accounts payable systems, with knowledge of Concur.
• Exhibit experience using ERP systems such as Sage Intacct for financial reporting and transactions.
• Show strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.

• Apply excellent organizational skills to multitask and manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal departments and external vendors.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Uphold professionalism, integrity, and accuracy while handling financial documentation and reporting.
