RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on 36-bed medical telemetry unit (5W Medicine 610) at Mission Hospital Main Campus
• Day shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC and 1-2 sitters with current ratios of 1:5/6
• Night shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC and 1-2 sitters with current ratios of 1:6/7
• Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shifts on night shift)
• Required certifications: BLS
• Encouraged certification: CMSRN
• Must have medical telemetry experience
• Preferred qualifications include leadership experience, charge nurse experience, and BSN
• Float to medical-surgical units: 3W, 5W, K8 (sister units)
• Dress code: Navy blue top and bottom, white top and navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs
• Work with medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), VC150s in every patient room
• Use workstation on wheels and Tap and Go for computer/documentation access
• EMR system: Cerner
• Prepare patients for endoscopy, interventional radiology, and operating room procedures
• Must be hard-working, compassionate, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
