Job Responsibilities

• Conduct both routine and advanced clinical laboratory assessmentsspanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and a variety of other areasfollowing established procedures.
• Examine results meticulously for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on laboratory instruments.
• Support the specimen collection process and prepare samples for diagnostic testing as necessary.
• Keep detailed records of all procedures, assist in training new personnel or interns, and contribute to maintaining high lab quality standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe workplace while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, is required along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain your certification for the duration of your employment.
