Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Location: Hybrid, 4 days onsite NYC Salary: $150,000 plus bonus and equity Role Summary: A premier corporation is seeking a Accounting Manager to oversee corporate month-end close, multi-entity consolidations, and fixed asset management. This position functions as a process management lead. You will drive key financial workflows across operating entities, ensuring complete accuracy across the corporate general ledger, fixed asset accounting, and intercompany eliminations while partnering closely with Internal Controls and SEC Reporting teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the global consolidation process across distinct operating units. Review entity-level trial balances, execute intercompany eliminations, and reconcile consolidated financial statements. Own the corporate close schedule. Prepare and post complex journal entries, perform detailed variance analyses, and reconcile balance sheet accounts under tight public-company timelines. Oversee enterprise fixed asset ledgers, capitalization policies, depreciation schedules, and complex asset amortization. Serve as a key accounting interface for Internal Controls/SOX and SEC External Reporting teams during quarterly and annual reporting cycles. Leverage enterprise tools and AI/automation productivity platforms (such as Claude/LLMs) to streamline workflows, enhance documentation, and accelerate month-end close routines. Required Qualifications & Experience Public/Private mix-starting career in Public Accounting (Audit) followed by hands-on corporate experience within a publicly traded company Proficiency with ERP software Proven background in multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and amortization schedules. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA is a plus, but not required.
