Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to coordinate integrated mental health treatment for patients within and outside the clinic.

• Facilitate in-service training sessions on mental health issues for medical, psychiatric, and security staff as required to enhance understanding and response capabilities.

• Intervene during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies to ensure patient safety.
\n
• Participate in commitment hearings or legal processes as needed, representing the clinic in a professional manner.
\n
• Develop personalized treatment plans and therapeutic goals tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient, integrating evidence-based practices.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all patient interactions, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards and organizational policies.
\n
• Verify and assess patients' previous mental health history, including psychotropic medication usage, to inform treatment plans effectively.

• Compile regular and special reports as necessary to communicate patient progress and clinic activities to the administrative team.

• Collaborate with nursing and mental health staff to establish appropriate post-release referral processes for ongoing support.

You will provide support and treatment to a diverse range of patients facing various mental health challenges. This may include individuals experiencing acute psychiatric emergencies, chronic mental health conditions, or those in need of restorative care. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
