Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician working full-time night shifts in a regional medical facility located in the Midwest. This role involves delivering medications efficiently to nursing units, managing automated dispensing cabinets, and performing aseptic compounding of sterile dosage forms with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver medications promptly to nursing units and return items as needed, ensuring rounds are completed efficiently.
• Maintain and restock unit-based automated dispensing cabinets accurately, verifying medication placement and expiration dates.
• Perform aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures following proper techniques and quality control documentation.
• Process floor stock requisitions, maintain stock levels, and manage controlled substances with strict adherence to regulations.
• Assist pharmacists with order entry, medication labeling, and customer service, including answering department calls professionally.
• Restock anesthesia dispensing cabinets and other kits, ensuring all items and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Package bulk medications correctly, maintain controlled substance logs, and submit products for pharmacist verification.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, exercising sound judgment and effective time management to meet workload demands.

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current valid State Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician in Training license.
• Obtain national certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board within one year of hire.
• Maintain qualifications as outlined in the Pharmacy Department Technician Ladder for a Technician I position.
