Billing Specialist Palliative Care
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Billing Specialist Palliative Care to join our team at Prairie Winds Hospice, a leading provider of end-of-life care in Shawnee, KS. As a Billing Specialist Palliative Care, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial operations of our hospice run smoothly, while also providing exceptional care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently process and manage billing and insurance claims for palliative care services
Conduct thorough reviews of patient records to ensure accurate and complete documentation for billing purposes
Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and resolve billing discrepancies
Manage and maintain accurate records of patient billing and insurance claims
Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
Meet or exceed billing productivity and accuracy standards

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
