Registered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule
- Shift: Day/Night rotating option available (12-hour shifts)

Requirements
- Must have Med/Surg and oncology experience - minimum 1 year
- Acute care experience must be current (working consistently in the last 12 months) and within the specialty applied
- Travel experience required
- RN license in hand at the time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Preferred: ACLS, ONS chemotherapy certification
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
- Experience with central line/PICC management and blood draws
- Experience with port access/management and peripheral IV care
- Experience with blood product administration
- Experience with feeding tube care

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adults and geriatrics with hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant needs
- Monitor and assess patient conditions through telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias
- Manage central lines, administer medications, and provide care related to blood transfusions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and utilize Rapid Response teams as needed

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Weekend coverage: variable based on unit needs
- Pre-approved time off: one (per contract)
- Compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start - no exceptions
- Background checks and fingerprinting required
