Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cardiovascular assessments, including detailed history taking and physical examinations to inform diagnoses.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide patient education on managing cardiovascular conditions effectively, including guidance on medications, dietary and lifestyle modifications, and preventive health measures.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and emerging patient needs.
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient care settings, conducting follow-up visits and contributing to discharge planning and aftercare recommendations.
• Maintain current knowledge in the field of cardiology, incorporating the latest advancements and best practices into daily patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse patient population with a range of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias. Working within the school setting, you will also liaise with families and educators to promote awareness and education on heart health, effectively addressing health concerns that impact children and adolescents.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with specialty training in cardiology.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in cardiology or a related medical field, demonstrating solid training in patient assessment and care.
• Exceptional clinical skills in cardiovascular medicine, with a strong emphasis on managing complex medical conditions.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
