This full-time role serves students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) in Setting II/III/center-based classrooms at a vibrant middle school. The school seeks a dedicated educator with expertise in Special Education who is passionate about creating supportive, inclusive learning environments and helping every student thrive.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Hold an active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required).
• Experience or strong interest in supporting students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders.
• Ability to manage diverse caseloads in Setting II/III/center-based educational settings.
• Flexible, adaptive, and patient with a commitment to evidence-based interventions and positive behavioral supports.
• Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Recent resume required as part of the application process.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with EBD, adjusting teaching strategies to individual student needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in close coordination with families and colleagues.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom where all learners feel valued.
• Collaborate with support staff, administration, and related service providers to promote student growth academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and regular communication with parents or guardians.
• Support students’ transition and integration across educational settings as appropriate.

This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and runs through mid-June. The position is Monday through Friday, with a consistent 37.5-hour work week, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and see real progress with your caseload.
