Key Responsibilities\n

• Ensure Compliance with Legal & Ethical Standards: Incorporate legal considerations in all social work practices, including documenting suspected abuse and patient rights, in alignment with all Tenet Policies.

• Document Care Processes: Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation, including interdisciplinary plans of care and social services progress notes, to ensure continuity of care.

• Conduct Educational In-Service Sessions: Share expertise with fellow hospital staff on psychosocial care topics through Lunch and Learns or other formats to enhance overall patient care approaches.

• Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Engage in monitoring and analyzing indicators for patient care enhancements, contributing to ongoing efforts to improve service delivery.

• Mentorship and Oversight: Supervise graduate-level master’s students and MSW employees as appropriate, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and fostering professional development among the team.

• Engage in Special Projects: Involvement may include organizing activities for Social Work Month and developing cancer-specific support groups and educational programs for patients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
