Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality radiographic examinations, ensure patient safety, and provide exceptional patient care while supporting physicians in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician imaging orders prior to examinations.
• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to established protocols.
• Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Explain imaging procedures and answer patient questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Utilize radiation protection measures and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
• Evaluate image quality to minimize repeat examinations.
• Collaborate with radiologists and providers regarding imaging results and additional testing needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Monitor imaging equipment performance and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or related field required.
• ARRT Certification required.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
• Previous X-Ray Technician experience preferred.
• Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers when necessary.
