Pastry Chef

Sela V Hotel is opening a new restaurant in Brooklyn, led by a top chef bringing together the flavors of the Middle East, the Balkans, and North Africa. We're looking for a Pastry Chef to build our dessert and bread program from the ground up.

The role: Design and execute plated desserts to a fine-dining standard. Run the bread program — daily baking for both service and the table. Manage pastry mise en place and maintain consistency across every service. Work closely with the Executive Chef to keep the pastry and bread program aligned with the kitchen's overall vision. Opportunity to help develop seasonal desserts and signature breads as the menu evolves.

Required: 3+ years of professional pastry experience, including plated dessert work. Hands-on bread baking experience. High standards of personal cleanliness and kitchen hygiene. Ability to work efficiently under time pressure while maintaining precision. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual. Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred: NYC Food Protection Certificate (or willingness to obtain one). Culinary or pastry school training. Stable work history with previous employers.
