This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled RN with recent school-based nursing experience, who is ready to manage the health needs of approximately 1,000 students in a dynamic educational environment. Working primarily on site, you will be entrusted with fostering a safe, nurturing, and health-conscious atmosphere for elementary and middle school students.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license, with the necessary credentials to practice in Illinois
• Demonstrated, recent experience in a school nursing setting is required
• Proficiency in pediatric or student health assessments and interventions
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Clear communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families
• Comfortable commuting between two campuses located in Chicago; please verify travel fit prior to applying

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing services, including first aid, medication administration, and care for chronic and acute conditions
• Maintain up-to-date student health records and document all clinical encounters accurately
• Collaborate with school staff and parents regarding student health concerns and management plans
• Participate in emergency response planning and implementation for student safety
• Deliver health education and resources to support overall student well-being
• Cover both assigned campuses, ensuring consistency and quality of care across locations
