About the Position

Job Title: Level 4 RN Profession: RN Specialty: L&D Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12.0 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in OB, L&D, and/or Postpartum License: Current RN license in Ohio Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: - At least 3 years of experience working in OB, Postpartum, and/or L&D. - Active unencumbered RN license in Ohio. Description: The Level 4 RN performs as a professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and education. This position utilizes the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. The RN acts as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families. The role involves collaboration with other healthcare team members. Participation in the orientation process for new personnel is expected. The RN may also be involved in health center and department committees. Knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to specific age groups should be demonstrated. Responsibilities include conducting a comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessment of the patient. The RN will participate in establishing a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data with other involved disciplines. Implementation and evaluation of the plan of care based on identified patient goals and outcomes are required. Modification of the plan of care will be necessary based on reassessment of the patient's status. All documentation must be completed according to established standards and utilize the appropriate documentation tools. The RN will assess the readiness of the patient and significant others to learn. Individualized education plans should be implemented according to identified needs. Active participation in nursing department or unit-based initiatives is expected. The RN will provide age-appropriate care for the population served as detailed by the organization. All functions should be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable professional standards. Providing excellent service experiences for all customers is a key expectation of this role.
