Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.

Implement targeted speech therapy interventions centered on communication, language, articulation, voice, and swallowing difficulties.

Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical/occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care approaches.

Educate patients and their families to promote achievements beyond the clinical environment.

Provide support for inpatient speech therapy evaluations and necessary interventions, ensuring an uninterrupted continuum of care during the entire recovery process.

Document clinically relevant information precisely and in compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies.

Remain informed on developments within the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification.

Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in New York State.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the ASHA is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Proficient in evidence-informed interventions for all ages, with deep knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Skillful in modifying therapy approaches to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong analytical acumen and practical problem-solving skills.

Experienced with electronic medical records and adherence to documentation norms.
