Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a blend of standardized assessments and observational analysis.
  • Create customized treatment strategies addressing both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Render personalized speech therapies targeting communication, language proficiency, fluency, vocal expression, and swallowing issues.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and family members to craft coordinated approaches to patient care.
  • Provide educational support to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond sessions.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations, assuring seamless care continuity throughout recovery.
  • Keep thorough and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and company regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaborative exchange with peers.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within a month of hiring.
