Role Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across all age groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting short-term objectives, as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement customized one-on-one speech therapy interventions, focusing on language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and their families to support progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Continuously advance your knowledge through ongoing education and cooperative interactions with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preference for acquiring the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire.
