Work Environment

The role operates onsite in a home care setting, primarily focusing on patients in their residences in the Tyro area. As a Physical Therapist, you will work flexible Monday to Friday hours, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy interventions to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and restore muscle function in alignment with each patient's unique plan of care.
• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective implementation of treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of client functionality, employing a variety of diagnostic tests relevant to muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional abilities.
• Assess the home environment to identify enhancements that support client independence in daily living activities.
• Administer physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, including manual therapeutic exercises and teaching clients about non-manual exercises and functional activities.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as traction and massage, applying physical agents to aid in recovery.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal fit and functionality.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to case conferences to discuss treatment plans for each client.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, while adhering strictly to compliance standards.
• Train and guide clients and their families on the proper use of therapy devices and the overall physical therapy program.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the company's objectives and support team collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with patients across various age groups who require rehabilitation services in the comfort of their homes. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, and those seeking to regain independence through skill development. Your focus will be on creating a supportive environment that fosters patient engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Possession of a valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Impeccable licensure record without any history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience developing effective exercise programs for diverse patient needs.
• Expertise in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for precise documentation and reporting.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy practices supported by research findings.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of experience in a home care setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative treatment approaches.
• Experience in geriatric care or rehabilitation services for patients with complex medical needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
