Work Environment

This position is stationed in our state-of-the-art outpatient office located in Tyro, Virginia. As a member of our therapeutic team, you will collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals in a supportive setting that emphasizes teamwork and interdisciplinary cooperation. Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and maintaining peak performance in alignment with the established plan of care.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the correct application of prescribed treatment protocols and adherence to therapy standards.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patient functional levels, utilizing diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
• Assess and optimize the home environment to facilitate rehabilitation and increase patient independence.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, including manual exercises, traction, and massage while providing instruction and motivation for non-manual activities.
• Fit and adjust assistive devices such as prosthetics and orthotics, coordinating necessary modifications with physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive treatment plans and participate in case conferences to review patient progress.
• Document all patient interactions, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries to maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Provide educational guidance to clients and families regarding the management of physical therapy devices and the overall therapy program.
• Support and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in their roles, ensuring adherence to state regulations.
• Engage regularly with clients to adapt treatment plans based on observed changes in their health and progress towards goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse patient base, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or illnesses that affect mobility. You will be tasked with developing personalized treatment plans that cater to their specific rehabilitation needs, fostering their individual goals and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active and unblemished Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia.
• Proficient in a variety of manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practice.
• Strong ability to create effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially Web PT, to ensure precise and accurate clinical documentation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy practices and methodologies, grounded in current research.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated success in interdisciplinary collaboration and team-based care.
• Experience in family-focused therapy approaches, enhancing patient support systems.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, full-time team members enjoy an array of benefits which include:
