Blackwood Physical Therapy and Wellness Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Stockton, California. This full-time role focuses on providing high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting. Work Environment

Our facility boasts a welcoming and supportive environment staffed by a committed team of two Physical Therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Each member of our team prioritizes patient-centered care and actively engages in continuing education. The standard work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our outpatient setting is tailored to ensure that patients receive personalized attention during their treatment journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments to identify the unique needs and goals of each patient to develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Conduct one-on-one therapeutic sessions, managing a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring quality time and focus on individual needs.
• Design comprehensive care plans that utilize a variety of treatment techniques, focusing on functional improvements tailored to each patient's goals.
• Administer manual therapy and exercise regimens utilizing proven methodologies to enhance patient mobility and strength.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
• Document treatment protocols and patient progress thoroughly and accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and alternative therapies to reduce reliance on surgical interventions and medications.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, including referrals and consultation when needed.
• Motivate patients throughout their recovery process, assisting them in achieving their functional capabilities and promoting overall health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients covered by private medical insurance, focusing on orthopedic conditions that affect mobility and physical function. Our team is dedicated to treating a diverse population, including athletes, post-operative patients, and individuals recovering from injuries. Your role will involve fostering a trusting relationship with patients, empowering them to take charge of their health and wellness through effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California, with a clean record free of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and a proven track record of developing successful exercise programs.
• Expertise in utilizing EMR software platforms, such as WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation practices and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated capability in working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
