Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and staff in Volusia County, Florida, as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist! Multiple immediate positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving various elementary, middle, and high school sites throughout the district. Positions vary in schedule and site, with both part-time and full-time needs and a typical schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Clinical Fellows are welcome and can expect strong supervision and mentoring support. Please note, only in-person roles are available—SLPAs and virtual candidates are not being considered.

Essential Qualifications:

• Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC or eligible Clinical Fellow)
• Prior experience in school settings preferred
• Background working with severe-profound student populations and alternative/augmentative communication (AAC)
• Willingness to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong organization and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective communication strategies and IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
• Utilize AAC and assistive technology tools where necessary
• Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state requirements
• Participate in team meetings, staff development, and parent conferences
