The responsibilities outlined in this offer letter serve as a guideline and are inclusive, but not exhaustive:Oversee all kitchen operations and work closely with Assistant Kitchen Managers and Managers in Training (MITs).Supervise and provide clear communication regarding job responsibilities and performance expectations to kitchen personnel.Foster a culture of quality and consistency within the kitchen team, ensuring all menu items meet standards.Provide comprehensive training to kitchen staff on prep work and food presentation techniques.Responsible for the selection, on boarding and retention of team members through motivation, recognition, coaching and development.Responsibly delegate and follow up on tasks while remaining accountable overall for kitchen and team members.Offer clear direction to kitchen staff, ensuring effective execution of all assigned tasks.Maintain vigilant oversight of kitchen operations to ensure adherence to health and fire safety regulations.Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and local food handling regulations, and standards as well as Company safety and security protocols.Emphasize safety, sanitation and security awareness, and ensure that team members are properly trained to create a safe work environmentContribute to the development and enforcement of kitchen and restaurant policies and procedures during shifts.Step in to fulfill the responsibilities of a line cook when required, demonstrating proficiency in all kitchen roles.Requirements:Minimum 5-6 years of experience working in a food production facility, fast paced restaurant or full dining service etc.Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plusLocal/municipal requirements, such as Food Handler certification, acquired at applicant's own expenseExperience in training and developing kitchen staff.Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulationsUnderstanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.Organized and detail oriented.Flexibility to work during weekendsAbility to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment.Comfortable using a computer, navigating standard office and point-of-sale softwareAbility to bend and reach overhead often.Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 50 poundsBenefits:Health & Wellness – Medical, Dental & VisionPTODiscounted MealsGrowth Opportunities401(k) Plan with Company MatchThe general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to this job classification are contained in this job description.
