Employment & Training Centers, Inc. is partnering with a well-established civil engineering consulting firm to hire an experienced Proposal Coordinator / Proposal Specialist to support business development efforts across Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a proposal professional with Architecture, Engineering, and Construction experience who enjoys managing high profile pursuits for transportation, water and wastewater, municipal, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, project managers, and executive leadership to develop compelling Statements of Qualifications, Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, interview presentations, and other marketing materials that help the firm win new business. Houston, Texas - 77084 Position type: Full Time Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Industry KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate proposals from the initial opportunity review through final submission Manage RFQ, RFP, and SOQ responses for TxDOT, cities, counties, toll authorities, utility districts, and other public agencies Lead proposal kickoff meetings and establish schedules, assignments, and deadlines Review solicitation requirements and prepare compliance matrices and submission checklists Gather technical content, project descriptions, staff resumes, and qualification information Write, edit, proofread, and format proposal content Coordinate internal quality reviews and final production Prepare electronic and printed proposal packages Support interview preparation and presentation development Maintain proposal templates, staff resumes, project sheets, graphics, and marketing materials Track leads, pursuits, proposal status, and win or loss information through CRM systems Support website content, social media, award submissions, and other marketing projects PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business, or a related field preferred Three to seven years of proposal coordination, marketing, or business development experience Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry experience strongly preferred Experience preparing RFQs, SOQs, and RFP responses for public sector clients Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and document formatting skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Adobe InDesign experience required Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat experience preferred CRM or opportunity tracking system experience preferred Ability to manage several active pursuits and meet firm deadlines Strong attention to detail, organization, and quality control COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Annual salary of $60,000 to $70,000, depending on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short term and long term disability insurance 401(k) and Roth 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Professional development and training Registration and certification reimbursement Employee referral bonuses Performance based incentives If you have experience coordinating proposals within the AEC industry and are looking for an opportunity to support meaningful infrastructure projects throughout Texas, we encourage you to apply today.
