Accounting Specialist

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist with strong Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) experience to join their client's team in Nevada. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.
• Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Generate and send customer invoices.
• Post payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and customer issues.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications.

General Accounting Duties:

• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close.
• Maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems.
• Support audits and reporting as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, with AP and AR responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, data entry, reconciliation).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in high-volume invoice processing.
• Experience with ERP systems.

Additional Details

Max Pay: $26.00/hr

Min Pay: $23.00/hr
