Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work with a flexible schedule while employing telehealth technologies to connect with patients. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential evening shifts depending on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate how medical conditions may influence mental well-being, ensuring a holistic understanding of each patient.

• Develop and execute integrated treatment plans that harmonize both psychiatric and medical interventions, leading to effective and coherent patient care.

• Offer one-on-one and group therapy sessions based on evidence-based practices, adapting techniques to cater specifically to each patient's unique circumstances and challenges.

• Collaborate closely with medical professionals to maintain coordinated care, regularly discussing patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support during mental health emergencies, working with patients to stabilize and provide immediate help.

• Facilitate education sessions for patients about the interplay between mental and physical health, empowering them to take control of their treatment journey.

• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential medical records in compliance with legal and ethical obligations using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and care planning discussions to ensure comprehensive approaches to treatment.

• Keep abreast of the latest research in integrated care and adopt best practices to continually enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve a unique patient population facing co-occurring mental health and medical conditions such as chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will be essential in addressing the intersection of these complex issues, improving both the psychological and physical health of your clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Texas.

• Strong understanding of the mental health needs of individuals managing co-occurring medical conditions.

• Experience working within integrated care settings and a proven track record of collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
