Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities Manage the weekly payroll process and maintain payroll data accuracy. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations, including tax filings. Calculate and report tax liabilities accurately each week. Address and resolve employee payroll concerns. Prepare annual W-2 forms and complete state-required reconciliations. Report daily activities and issues to the department head. Support the annual company audit. Qualifications 3-5 years’ experience as a payroll specialist Associate degree in Accounting/Payroll certification and/or equivalent experience. Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast‑paced environment required. Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws. Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills. Able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors. Reliable & trustworthy with attention to details and confidentiality.
