We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a long-term contract opportunity with a company based in Camden, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll specialist who can manage high-volume payroll activities with accuracy, maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and handle employee deductions such as garnishments with confidence. The position offers the chance to contribute to day-to-day payroll operations in a fast-paced environment while partnering with internal teams to ensure timely and precise pay processing.

Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end payroll for a large employee population, ensuring wages, deductions, and taxes are calculated accurately and delivered on schedule.
• Administer multi-state payroll activities while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Review and manage garnishments, levies, and other court-ordered deductions, ensuring proper setup, tracking, and remittance.
• Maintain and update payroll records in ADP Workforce Now, verifying employee data changes and payroll inputs for completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and resolve issues related to earnings, tax withholdings, benefits, and deductions in a timely manner.
• Partner with human resources, finance, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate payroll changes and support smooth payroll operations.
• Prepare payroll reports and supporting documentation to assist with audits, reconciliations, and management review.• At least 3 years of hands-on experience processing payroll in a business environment with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience handling full-cycle payroll from data entry and validation through final processing and review.
• Background managing payroll for more than 500 employees with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines.
• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices, including tax and compliance considerations.
• Experience administering garnishments and other involuntary deductions in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and general payroll systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
