The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking Payroll Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Reconcile payroll data and general ledger accounts.
- Manage timekeeping systems and integrate data for payroll processing.
- Administer and process employee benefits deductions and contributions.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end reporting.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and taxes.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar enterprise-level payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including those specific to manufacturing (e.g., shift differentials, overtime calculations).
- Experience with time and attendance systems and their integration with payroll.
- Ability to perform detailed payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
