# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** September 21, 2026 **Location:** Hermitage, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 3 12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend requirement; self-scheduling with 4-week schedules**Highlights:** - Progressive Care Unit with 34 and 25 bed units; patient ratios 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights- Advanced equipment including BiPAPs, high flow O2, Vapotherm, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peritoneal dialysis- Meditech documentation system with strong tech support (2-3 techs per unit when fully staffed)- Procedures include peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, central line dressing changes, and NG/Dobhoff tube insertions- Float between PCU units or to med-surg floors as needed- Black scrubs dress code; "Care like family" culture with excellent teamwork**Requirements:** - Active RN license- BLS and ACLS certifications required- Critical thinking skills and EKG rhythm interpretation- Cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip experience required- Experience with BiPAPs, high flow O2, and multiple oxygen delivery systems- Stroke and post-cardiac cath care experience- Peripheral IV skills required; peritoneal dialysis experience preferred- Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This PCU position offers the perfect blend of autonomy and support, with self-scheduling flexibility and a collaborative team environment where most travelers extend after their first assignment.
